BD 21-1 gas field group includes BD 21-1, Lingshui 18-1 and Yongle 8-1 gas fields, are all located in deep water with 1200~1950 water depth. Production fluid of BD 21-1 gas field group is rich in CO2. As a conclusion of basic design, the development consists of two sets of subsea production systems (SPS), i.e. BD 21-1 SPS and Lingshui18-1/Yongle 8-1 SPS, including subsea wells, manifolds, PLEMs, PLETs, flowlines, pipeliens, umbilicals and other subsea facilities will be tied back to a new production central processing platform BD21-1 CEPA, which will be built in the shallow water area with 218.2m water depth. The dry gas and condensate oil processed on the BD21-1 CEPA platform, and then exported by a 28in export subsea pipeline from BD 21-1 CEPA to onshore terminal. The dry and dense CO2 will be transported to the BD 13-3 subsea well through a 32.7km subsea pipeline and injected underground for storage.The SPS of BD 21-1 includes 12 subsea production wells and will be controlled on BD21-1 CEPA. Lingshui18-1/Yongle 8-1 SPS includes 9 subsea production wells and will be controlled on existing DeepSea No.1 SEMI. BD 13-3 includes 1 subsea CO2 injection well. One floating offshore wind turbine BD21-1 FOWT will be built near the BD 13-3 subsea CO2 injection well to control the BD 13-3 subsea well through one subsea umbilical and provide power to the BD21-1 CEPA platform through one seubsea cable.The production fluids from the 12 wells of BD21-1 are gathered and transported to the BD21-1 CEPA in shallow water. Production fluid from LS18-1 wells is routed through to YL8-1, the combined flow is transported BD21-1 CEPA in shallow water. After 2040, Lingshui18-1/Yongle 8-1 system will be connected to the existing LS17-2 East 3 Manifold and production fluid will be transported in the reverse direction to existing DeepSea No.1 SEMI via LS17-2 SPS. The subsea pipeline from YL8-1 to BD21-1 CEPA will be connected to BD21-1 SPS and used to transport dry gas from BD21-1 CEPA to BD21-1 SPS to maintain the minimum flow rate of the pipeline from BD21-1 SPS to BD21-1 CEPA to meet flow assurance requirement.
